DNC Night #3
By far the most entertaining night so far.
Dennis Kucinich is so disillusioned it's unbeleiveable. In his speech he said they're are weapons or mass destruction right here in the United States; poverty, homelessness, fear. Dennis, think about what you just said. Poverty, homelessness and fear can't kill millions of people in a day. Sarin gas, mustard gas, nuclear weapons can. You gotta protect the flock before you tend to it. Get it right.
I was glad to see Al Sharpton. There is something about Al that when you see him you just start to chuckle. He's a character, nothing more. But his speech was so viscious and hate-filled that you can't even take this guy seriously. In Sharpton's opinion a vote for George Bush means blacks will lose all freedom. Are you serious? I can't beleive this speech was even allowed. He even went so far as to say if George Bush had been on the Supreme Court bench in 1954 Clarence Thomas would've never made it to law school! I'm sorry but that's a cheap shot with no valid backing. He did have a funny little bit at the end though. Speaking on Bush's speech wherein he was talking how the Republican party use to have Frederick Douglas and Abraham Lincoln, Sharpton reminded the hall that Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation which stated former slaves were to receive forty acres and a mule. "We never got that mule, but we'll ride this donkey all the way to the end!" Just picturing Al Sharpton on a donkey was enough to make me considering calling PETA.
John Edwards daughter is hot. That's all I'll say about that.
John Edwards wife is fat. That's all I'll say about that.
John Edwards delivered the same speech he's delivered since January; two Americas, first to go to college in his family, son of a mill worker, blah blah blah. And then he asked the hall if they were sick of the negative attacks against John Kerry. Hell-freakin-O! The whole Democratic campaign is a negative attack against George Bush. And they aren't negative attacks against Kerry. They're the TRUTH against John Kerry. This Convention is not Pro-Kerry it is Anti-Bush. Hatred can't run a country.
Tomorrow night should be interesting.
